Centre Island

Today we took Luke to Centre Island. He was so excited when we got on the ferry and was even more excited to look through the window at the water and the boats.

It was a beautiful spring day. On the island we took Luke to the petting zoo, let him splash around in the kids water play area, drove a big tractor, and he had a little fish with his dad.

Luke had an awsome time. We hope to go back again this summer.

FIRST DAY AT THE PARK

There is a beautiful park by the Lake just a 5 min walk from our condo. It was Luke's first time at a park and he loved every minute of it.

He also had his first taste of a popsicle. You can see from the picture that it wasn't clear if he liked it or hated it.
We are looking forward to spending the summer outside with Luke for many more new adventures:)

What a Great Week!

Thanks Pat, Jeannette and Layla for coming to visit us in Toronto. We had an amazing week! Luke was so happy to have company and was so excited every morning to wake up to Layla saying "Good morning Luke". The two of them had a great time together. Luke thought Layla was so funny. He loved watching her run around the condo and followed her in his walker every chance he got.

Luke is now 8 and a half months old and is such a good little boy. He enjoys his meals, loves music, and has just started pulling himself up in the crib. We practice walking everyday and he is really doing great. Crawling, on the other hand, Luke is not quite interested in. We think he is definitly going to walk before he crawls. Gramma Sheree says that's exactly what his daddy did when he was Luke's age. Like father like son.

Luke is now 7 months old and weighs 23lbs. He has now mastered the skill of walking in his walker which he absolutely loves. He zips around the house, loving the freedom to move around from room to room on his own. Crawling, on the other hand, is something we're still working on. He's managed to push his chest and little butt up, but not yet at the same time. I think by the end of this month he'll be on his way. Time to baby proof the house! We are all doing really good and looking forward to the warm weather. It's been pretty cold here these past few weeks so we haven't been outdoors much. We are counting the days for when uncle Pat, auntie Jeannette and cousin Layla come to visit. Only 2 more weeks!! Whoohooo! See you all soon.

NEW YEARS EVE!

5,4,3,2,1...Happy New Year!!! Luke was wide awake as we counted down to the New Year. This picture was taken at 12:00am on January 1, 2007 in Beaverlodge, Alberta. Uncle Pat and Auntie Jeannette had a New Years Eve party at their house where we celebrated Luke's first New Years with a house full of family and friends. Grandma Sheree and Grandpa Roger were there by Luke's side when the clock struck 12:00. It was a wonderful 2006 and we are looking forward to a great 2007.

Luke's 1st Christmas

Luke had a great first Christmas! We all woke-up bright and early on Christmas morning all eager to start the day. As we made our way into the livingroom there was one present under the tree that wasn't there the night before. Luke must have been a good boy this year because Santa Claus had found his way into our condo and left Luke a beautifully wrapped present. He was just as excited to open it as we were to watch him. I had my camera ready as he pulled off the paper. With dad's help he managed to unwrap an animal choo-choo train. Luke loved it!

We spent the morning at home unwrapping gifts and then headed to nonna and nonno's house for lunch. The house was filled with aunts, uncles and cousins. Luke had a great time playing with his new toys, listening to music and watching everyone laugh and party. He was exhausted by the end of the night, but sure did have an amazing day. A Christmas that his mom and dad will never forget.
